For our 2026 year, Heartland Howloween will feature an entire floor of executive suites, designated for use as party rooms. This Party Floor will be entirely managed by Azelian Events, who have been contracted for Operations, Planning, and Security. Below, you can see a map of the party floor layout.

Disclaimer:

Azelian Events and its members are not a part of the board of Heartland Furries. Azelian Events has been contracted by Heartland Furries as a separate, trusted 3rd-party organization for various services in organization, promotion, talent acquisition, DJ management, and party floor operations. Any fees associated with the party floor and its operations are collected solely by Azelian Events as part of payment for their services, and may be used to pay Azelian staff, procure supplies for the party floor, and handle any fees associated with booking individual talent. Any questions or concerns related to the party floor and its operations should be directed to Reks at Azelian Events.

Individual room parties which occur on the 19th floor are approved by Azelian, but hosted by unaffiliated hosts unless otherwise noted. Azelian Events oversees and regulates all operations and events on the party floor, but the conduct and content of individual parties are the sole responsibility of the party host.

Located on the 19th floor, the Party floor contains an array of executive suites designed for hosting events and meetings. The floor has a lobby lounge and a hotel-run bar that will be serving snacks and drinks until 2am each night. Restrooms are available in the common area for guest use.

Booking Suites

The Party Floor suites are not guest rooms and do not contain sleeping arrangements. These suites are designed with events and meetings in mind and are meant to be booked separately from your sleeping arrangements. If you wish to host an event in a party room, please ensure you have a separate guest room booked with the hotel, or other off-site accommodations.

What does this mean for hosts?

Rather than forcing potential party hosts to book an expensive guest suite for an entire convention weekend, our arrangement with the hotel allows us to rent out executive suites in time-blocks for private use. This allows hosts to book a standard guest room at our lower convention rates, and pay only for the time they intend to use in the suites.

Our goal at this convention, and the mission of Azelian Events as a whole, is to make Event Hosting as accessible as possible for our friends in the fandom. For that reason, we have attempted to keep the fees for party suites as minimal as possible. You can view the costs of the various suites here.

Use of the party floor suites is subject to approval by application. Applications will be solely reviewed and approved by the team at Azelian Events. Our selection process is not based on favoritism and aims solely to filter out any events that may violate convention or hotel policy, and to ensure the best spread of party variety and scale. Host FAQ

What furnishings are included in the party rooms?

While the executive suites are not configured as guest rooms, our hotel this year has stated that they can provide and set up furniture on request. Tables, desks, and chairs are available for all rooms and we are working to get further details on what additional furnishings the hotel can provide.

Azelian Events is also happy to work with party hosts to try to network them with local attendees who may be able to provide specialty or household furnishings or additional lighting (such as RGB lighting) for your room.

Do I need registration in order to book a suite?

Yes. The party floor suites are only available to registered attendees of Heartland Howloween. When reviewing applications we will check your name against the list of registered attendees. If you are not registered, your application will be rejected.

What supplies do I need for my room?

Azelian Events will have a stock of basic essentials in our Party Ops room such as paper towels, trash bags, tape, first aid supplies, and narcan in case of emergency. These supplies can be provided upon request.

Outside food and drink is not permitted on the Party Floor, so party hosts should not procure bar supplies for their room.

Hosts will need to procure their own decorations, sound systems, games, or other specialty supplies for their party. For those hosts who are not local, Azelian can provide assistance with procuring and storing these supplies in advance so long as requests are arranged prior to the convention.

Why can't I run a bar on the party floor?

Unfortunately our convention contract with the hotel states that only the hotel bar is allowed to serve liquor and food on the party floor. Some exceptions may be made for small snacks, candy (for trick-or-treating), or specialty food & drink for dietary restrictions.

Free water stations will be provided and restocked by the hotel on the party floor for guests to stay hydrated.

Are NSFW parties allowed on the Party Floor?

Yes! The hotel is aware that these kinds of parties may occur and has given no objections, however prior to 7pm, the party floor is to remain strictly SFW.

While beds are not provided in the executive suites, we are working with the hotel to see if spare mattresses and bedding can be provided to suites that need them.

In the likely event that actual mattresses cannot be provided by the hotel, Azelian is prepared to use funds collected from the party floor to procure air mattresses and provide them to hosts along with bedding for a refundable deposit.

Am I allowed to collect donations for my party?

Yes! Upon approval for a party floor suite, Azelian Events will work with hosts to build an official event listing in the online party directory. This listing can include links to donation or payment platforms, and will be live prior to the convention as soon as all relevant party information has been provided.

Hosts may not restrict party entry to donors-only, or charge explicit entry fees for their event. However you may provide special rewards to donors (within legal limitations) such as stickers, commemorative tokens, party favors, etc.

When will I know if I've been selected?

Applications for party floor rooms will close September 1st. Selections will begin prior to applications closing and will be performed in stages.

Prior to applications closing, you may be informed that your application was rejected. A reason for the rejection will be included, for example: lack of host registration, party against convention policy, selected room size unavailable, etc.

If you receive a rejection email before applications close you may reapply after correcting issues, unless otherwise stated in your rejection email.

Is there a waitlist?

Yes! If we receive enough applications we will produce a waitlist for the party floor.

Once all timeslots on all rooms have been filled, additional applicants who are not rejected will be notified that they have been placed on the waitlist.

If a selected host cancels or fails to pay their booking fee by the deadline, we will reach out to waitlisted hosts to inform them of the opening.

When is payment for the suite due?

A 50% deposit for your party suite will be due no more than 2 weeks after you are selected, and full payment must be submitted at least a week before the convention unless you have been notified otherwise.

If there is a waitlist and your deposit is not received in time, you will be moved to the bottom of the waitlist and we will notify the first valid waitlist member of the availability.

Suite Pricing

Party floor suites are priced according to time blocks, allowing hosts to rent a party space for only the time that they need, and minimize their expenses.

Each time slot has a one-hour buffer between the previous slot’s end time, and the next slot’s start time to allow for setup and teardown. If hosts request and are approved for back-to-back time slots, this buffer hour between their selected slots becomes part of their granted time and they may continue running the event uninterrupted during that period.

Below, you will find a chart of the various available room sizes and their time slot pricing. Discounts are provided if a host rents a suite for a full day (all 3 time slots) and further discounts are available if the room is rented for the entire convention weekend.

Age Restrictions
1. 2pm-6pm
  1. All ages. There will be no age verification for people entering the floor. Attendees of any age are allowed.
2. 6pm-7pm
  1. Azelian staff will clear the party floor of anyone under 18. Security checkpoint will be implemented for age verification
3. 7pm-4am
  1. After Dark (18+) hours. NSFW parties and events allowed. Dress code relaxed.
Dress Code
1. Please keep your attire appropriate for all ages in all parts of the party floor during the hours of 2pm-6pm. This includes party rooms. Azelian staff reserve the right to make determinations on whether clothing is appropriate and will ask you to exit the floor and change if your attire is not suitable. Repeat offenses will result in a ban
2. After Dark (7pm onward) – Dress code is relaxed. Rave outfits and adult-oriented clothing is allowed on the party floor. Hole and pole (and nipples) must be covered in common areas at a minimum.
  1. Nudity and NSFW activities are allowed in party rooms at the host’s discretion. Party hosts reserve the right to place dress code restrictions on their individual rooms, please respect these decisions. If nudity is allowed within a party room, the door must be closed so that guests in the hall are not unwillingly exposed.
Food and Drink
1. Due to our contract with the hotel, no outside food and drink is allowed on the party floor. Exceptions may be made for dietary restrictions. If you need an exception, please speak with an Azelian staff member, preferably in advance.
2. The hotel will be staffing a drink and snack bar on the party floor. Alcohol consumption is allowed in all common areas of the party floor, so long as the alcohol is purchased from the bar.
  1. Alcohol and food consumption is allowed within party rooms at the discretion of the party host. Hosts reserve the right to restrict food and alcohol consumption within their rooms. Please respect the host’s decisions.
3. Intoxication
  1. Drinking is fun, disrupting is not. Azelian Events reserves the right to remove guests that become overly intoxicated for the safety of themselves and other guests. If you become belligerent, our security team will have you escorted off the floor. Please remember to drink responsibly.
  2. Hotel staff reserves the right to refuse drink service to guests that appear dangerously intoxicated.
Illicit Substances
1. Possession, sale, or consumption of illicit substances is not allowed on the party floor at any time. We don’t care what you do in your free time, but if we see you doing it here we are obligated to remove you from the party floor and report you to convention security.
  1. If you or someone you know is suffering from an overdose or other ill effects from a substance you have consumed, please visit Azelian Ops immediately. Our staff will keep narcan on hand and will have direct contact with medical personnel on site. Under no circumstances will you be judged, hurt, or punished for seeking help for yourself or your friends.
Azelian Staff
1. Azelian Staff and volunteers will be present on the party floor during all hours of operation (2pm-4am each day). Staff will be marked with special badges for your identification. Please be courteous and respectful of Azelian Staff when interacting. Please listen to and obey all requests made by Azelian Staff. We’re here to keep the party going, and make sure everyone is having a good time. Help us help you.
  1. Altercations with Azelian Staff will result in immediate removal from the party floor. Any physical altercation with Azelian Staff will result in a ban and reports will be made to Convention Security, which may result in further punitive action from the convention.
  2. If you have an issue with any Azelian Staff member, please report it to ops immediately, or contact @Reksuni on telegram to provide information.
Hotel Staff
1. Hotel Staff will be present on the party floor staffing the drink and snack bar, as well as helping move furnishings for the party floor rooms. Please be courteous and respectful of the staff at all times. Do your part to keep our convention in good standing with our venue.
NSFW Activities
1. NSFW activities are allowed in select party floor rooms from the hours of 7pm-4am. Party room hosts will determine what is and is not allowed in their room. If NSFW activities are to occur in party floor rooms, privacy coverings will be added to the windows to avoid people outside the hotel seeing in. Please do not remove these coverings if present.
2. NSFW activities are not allowed in common areas of the party floor. Please do not engage in explicit sexual activities in the halls, the lounge, the bathrooms, etc. Consensual touching or over-the-clothes petting and suggestive actions are okay, but please be respectful of other guests if someone expresses discomfort.
Consent
1. Enthusiastic Informed Consent is invaluable. Please do not touch other guests on the party floor in any manner without their consent. To facilitate an enjoyable and safe experience, Azelian will be implementing an optional 4-tier visual consent system as follows:
  1. Sharpies will be provided in the common lounge area of the Party Floor. Guests are encouraged to mark both their hands or another visible portion of their body with an appropriate symbol as shown below to indicate their comfort level with touch.
  2. Please remember that this system is for touch only and does not indicate consent or interest in sex.
  3. Symbols are as follows:
    1. X – No Contact/No interest. Do not touch under any circumstances. Direct enthusiastic verbal consent may override this, but please do not pressure anyone to allow touch.
    2. N – Non-Sexual Contact only. Hugs, pats, touching someone’s shoulder are okay. No touching below the belt or along the chest.
    3. A – Ask First. Before touching in any manner, please ask for boundaries, limits, and consent. This extends to both erotic and non-erotic touch. This does not necessarily indicate an interest in being touched in a sexual manner.
    4. O – Open Contact. Touching anywhere is okay. Please remember to respect other guests around you when engaging. This mark does NOT override the wearer’s consent, and the wearer may ask you to stop at any time. Please remember to move to NSFW party rooms or your private hotel room if you wish to engage beyond heavy petting.
  4. In all cases, if you wish to engage beyond touch, please remember to stop, establish enthusiastic consent, discuss boundaries, and move to a private setting.
  5. If a guest does not have a marking, please ask before touching in any way.
  6. Party hosts reserve the right to implement their own limitations or consent systems which may differ from ours.
  7. Reference posters will be placed around the party floor to help guests remember the meaning of these markings.
Respect the Space
1. Remember at all times that we are guests in this hotel. Please clean up after yourselves, be mindful of the venue, and do not cause any damage. Follow these guidelines when on the party floor:
  1. No Littering – Please place any trash in appropriate receptacles. Do not leave empty cups, cans, used paper towels, etc in the party rooms or common areas.
  2. No Stickering – Do not place stickers on any surfaces or objects in the hotel. Azelian will provide a poster in the common area to sign or leave stickers on if you would like to leave your mark.
  3. Leave it as you found it – Please do not cause damage to the party rooms or common areas. Be mindful of the space. If an accident happens, please report it immediately to Azelian Operations so we can manage it.
  4. Clean Spills – If you spill a drink, please clean it up. Cleaning supplies will be provided to each room, but if there are none feel free to stop by Azelian Ops to retrieve supplies.
  5. Whiteboards – Each executive suite (party room) has whiteboards along the walls. Guests and hosts are encouraged to bring their own dry erase markers to draw on these boards. Please do not use permanent marker under any circumstances. Hosts must clear and clean any writing or drawings on these boards before vacating the room.
Kandi Making
1. Azelian Events will be providing supplies in the lounge area for Kandi making! Guests are encouraged to use these supplies to make kandi bracelets as much as they like. Please respect the following rules when doing so:
  1. Do not remove equipment or supplies from the lounge area. You are welcome to take your finished kandi bracelets with you when you go, but don’t take bags or boxes of supplies or the scissors. No supplies means no fun!
  2. Clean up after yourself. Once you’re finished making your kandi, return all beads and equipment to their proper locations.
  3. Please remember that there are all-ages hours for this space! Making NSFW or explicit kandi is allowed, but please don’t leave arrangements of beads in public that make explicit statements.
Photo Booth
1. Azelian Events will also be providing a photo booth to guests in Interactive room 1. We encourage guests to use this space to take photos in fursuit or costume at any time. Backdrops and decorations will be provided for photo ops. Azelian Photographers may be present at various times to help take professional photos of guests. Please use the following guidelines when using this room:
  1. Do not remove any equipment or decorations from the photo booths. Equipment is expensive, please respect it!
  2. Until 7pm, any photography done in the room must be family-friendly. Remember that our space is all-ages during certain hours.
  3. After 7pm, photography may be suggestive. Feel free to pose for something spicier to take home.
  4. Currently, allowance of fully NSFW photography is under discussion. Certain hours may be designated for allowing explicit NSFW photography. Please check back for further information as we make these decisions.
  5. Please respect our photographers. If an Azelian photographer makes requests regarding the room or equipment, please listen and obey. If a photographer is photographing a subject, please don’t interrupt or get in frame without being invited.
  6. Respect other guests! Make sure everyone gets a turn, and don’t hog the room for long periods. If another guest is taking up the room for too long, please inform Azelian ops.
2. Please remember that our photographers are volunteering their time and often have other responsibilities to attend. Don’t make demands, only requests. A tip jar and QR code will be present in the room. All collected tips from the photo booth will be distributed among our volunteer photographers.
3. If you have photos taken by a photographer, please make sure you sign the guest book that will be present in the room and provide your information. This will ensure we can send you your photos after the con!
PLUR
1. Azelian lives by the age-old raver’s creed of PLUR. In all things, remember this word and what it means. For those that don’t know, we’ve listed it below:
  1. Peace – Leave behind outside aggression, stress, and judgement. Check your ego at the door, keep the environment calm, always choose harmony over conflict.
  2. Love – Show unconditional warmth, kindness, and acceptance towards strangers and friends alike. Express your love for others through group hugs, compliments, and sharing positive energy without expecting anything in return.
  3. Unity – Recognize that everyone in this space shares a collective bond through joy, music, and magic. Events like these break down social barriers, bringing people from all walks of life together as one community.
